Job summary

Osceola Medical Center is seeking a Nutrition Aide for a part-time role to prepare and serve meals for inpatients, ensuring alignment with therapeutic diets and safety standards. The position involves taking patient meal orders, assisting with meal prep, delivering meals, and following up to ensure a quality dining experience.

The Dietary Aid will collaborate with the Dietitian team to tailor meals to therapeutic needs and will work primarily in the Acorn Grill and hospital kitchen areas,

Qualifications

• Demonstrates core behavior standards in daily work.
• Understands therapeutic diets (e.g., IDDSI) and food allergens.
• Applies basic math to portions, recipes, and measurements.
• Follows food safety and sanitation policies and operates equipment safely.
• Works effectively with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintains patient confidentiality in all duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals to patients per therapeutic diet and policies.
• Assist patients with meal ordering and tray delivery.
• Prep food items for patient service and Acorn Grill.
• Maintain sanitation and handle equipment and trays.
• Record temperatures and assist with stock in Nutrition rooms.
