Job summary

Kern River Transitional Care Center is seeking a dependable Part-Time Dietary Aide to join our dietary services team. This role assists with meal preparation, tray service, dishwashing, sanitation, and maintaining a clean kitchen for residents.

Compensation ranges from $17.48 to $17.58 per hour. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a willingness to learn food service procedures, with basic math and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Food Handler's Certificate required.
• Healthcare or food service experience a plus.
• Willingness to learn food service procedures quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and tray service.
• Strip and wash trays; operate the dishwasher safely.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Receive and store groceries and supplies safely.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized; help with end-of-shift clean-up.
