Job summary

TimberRidge Center for Rehabilitation & Healing in Ocala, FL is seeking a Part-Time Dietary Aide to assist residents with dietary needs and support the Dietary Manager in delivering quality meal service.

You will help prepare meals, maintain safety and cleanliness, and participate in nutrition education while enjoying a team-focused environment with competitive benefits and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma.
• Previous experience as a Dietary Aide is preferred.
• Bonus experience includes training in cost control, food management, or diet therapy.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food dishes, delivering food to patients and assisting the kitchen staff in maintaining a clean, sanitary workplace
• Review department policies, procedures, manuals, position descriptions, at least annually and participates in making recommended changes to stay current on facility protocols
• Interprets policies and procedures to personnel, patients/residents, visitors, family members, as necessary.
• Preparing meals, snacks and beverages following specific procedures
• Serving meals, ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times
• Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items
• Setting up and taking down dining areas and assisting with kitchen maintenance and general cleaning
• Assisting with educational programs on nutrition
