Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan is a beautiful and state-of-the-art 65-bed facility. Cedar Creek provides evidence-based treatment to adolescents and adults struggling with mental health issues. The hospital invests in patients by offering an integrated medicine approach, including therapies such as yoga, mindfulness, aromatherapy, music therapy, and nutrition. We are seeking qualified applicants for a Dietary Aide position.

Position Description

A Dietary Aide is responsible for salad and cold food preparation for all hospital meals, serving patients and staff. Responsibilities include maintaining clean and sanitary work areas in the kitchen, service area, and dining room, such as:

  • Serving food on patient tray line and in the cafeteria to meet dietary needs.
  • Maintaining sanitation standards and following Department of Public Health regulations.
  • Preparing diets and food requisitions, and obtaining accurate meal counts.
  • Following dietary and hospital safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Treating patients and staff courteously to serve their dietary needs.
  • Meeting hospital attendance policies.

Qualifications & Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • On-the-job training provided; some food preparation experience helpful.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions to operate food service equipment and follow directions.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks to ensure an efficient, safe, sanitary, attractive, and orderly facility.
