*The Diagnostic Technologist is an entry point in our Diagnostic Tech Career Ladder. Final placement in job title and salary will be based on skill, experience, and education.*

Key Responsibilities:

• Properly identify all patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocol during procedures. Review patient history, assess physician orders, and apply departmental protocols for optimal results. Document patient history in electronic records.
• Administer PO and rectal contrast as per physician orders and department policy.
• Ensure all exams are correctly coded, tracked through RIS, archived in ISITE, and charges are accurately entered.
• Perform diagnostic radiography procedures independently, utilizing established protocols.
• Operate complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, and documentation, following protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members, demonstrating care, respect, and professionalism. Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient patient care.
• Adjust protocols independently as needed, demonstrating judgment and initiative in applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients to alleviate fears and ensure cooperation.
