UPMC St. Margaret is looking to hire CT Technologists to work straight overnight shifts. We seek highly engaged and motivated candidates to provide high-quality services to our patients. Night Program Guidelines:

• Must have at least six months of imaging experience
• Must work steady night shifts
• Eligible participants will receive an additional $2 per hour night program differential, on top of their hospital’s current off-shift differential, for night hours worked.
• Participants must be in an imaging role in a full-time or part-time status, working on a unit that requires 24-hour on-site coverage.
• Participants must commit to working up to their budgeted shifts based on FTE status as off-shift hours.
• If a participant does not work steady night shifts, they are not eligible for the additional differential, and their participation will be evaluated for removal from the program.

This position is sign-on bonus eligible!

Eligible applicants will be offered a sign-on bonus that aligns with their assignment status, up to $30,000!

*The CT Technologist is an important first step in our CT Tech Career Ladder. Final candidates will be placed into the appropriate job title and salary structure based on skill, experience, and education.*

Responsibilities include:

• Performing CT procedures using established protocols, including contrast administration, with minimal supervision.
• Utilizing complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation, following protocols.
• Ensuring all exams are properly coded, tracked, archived, and billed.
• Administering contrast media as per physician orders and assessing patient risks.
• Communicating clearly with patients, explaining procedures to alleviate fears and gain cooperation.
• Adjusting protocols and applying ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic purposes.
• Interacting professionally with patients and co-workers, demonstrating care, dignity, and respect.
• Properly identifying patients, reviewing histories, and documenting in electronic records.
• Demonstrating proper venipuncture and use of power injectors according to protocols.
