Qualifications

• Oregon Dietitian License upon hire.
• National CDR Registered Dietitian upon hire.
• Three years experience in treatment and education of diabetes within the last 2 years.
• Experience with current adult learning theory in relation to diabetes education.
• Experience with the clinical management of diabetes.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients with diabetes of all ages according to individual needs.
• Perform health/education assessment and develop an education plan.
• Implement and evaluate education plans considering psychosocial/economic/language barriers.
• Work in classroom or outpatient settings in collaboration with RNs & RDs.
• Participate in professional development and community outreach.
