Saint Alphonsus is seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to join the Diabetes Care and Education Center as a Diabetes Educator. This PRN/part-time role will support multiple clinic locations in Idaho, offering 10-hour day shifts and opportunities to impact patients’ diabetes self-management.

The ideal candidate will provide education across inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and maintain accurate documentation while advancing program development.

Qualifications

• RD credential required (CDR)
• State licensure in Idaho required
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required
• Minimum of five years clinical dietetics experience
• Certification as CDCES or willingness to obtain within 2 years of hire

Responsabilités

• Provide individualized and group diabetes education to patients of all ages, integrating cultural preferences and learning styles.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored self-management plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support inpatient and outpatient diabetes care programs.
• Identify barriers to effective self-care and help patients develop problem-solving strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust education plans as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community outreach events.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to program evaluation and development
