Job summary

Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) is hiring Devils Alumni mascot handlers to support the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The role is part-time and focuses on guiding the Devils Alumni characters and NJ Devil during games and appearances, while engaging fans and managing costumes and gear.

Responsibilities include in-costume duties, photo opportunities, and non-verbal fan interaction.

Qualifications

• Must have previous mascot experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand for 5–6 hours.
• Ability to ice skate.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Escort the Devils Alumni characters and NJ Devil around the arena; take photos for fans; carry gear and assist with positioning.
• Be the spoken voice of the mascot team when not in costume; assist with game-day initiatives, social media content, and community events.
• Assist with prop and costume production, care, and maintenance; organize storage areas.
