Job summary

Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a part-time position to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities. You will coordinate village-based services, assist in accessing resources, and collaborate with the Traditional Council to ensure safety and well-being.

You will meet regularly with individuals and families to promote self-sufficiency and access to community resources.

Qualifications

Experience or education in special education, child/family health and development, counseling or community development.
Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience in human services, social services, sociology or psychology preferred.
Minimum Experience: one year preferred.
Prefer AA degree.
Two years of experience with consumers with special needs, IDD, co-occurring disorders or substance abuse.
License: Alaska driver’s license or ability to obtain.
Tuberculin clearance at time of employment and annually.
CPR/First Aid required or willing to complete.
Office equipment: copier, fax, shredder, laminator.
Strong written and oral communication and human relations skills.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support services to individuals with developmental disabilities and coordinate village-based services.
Assist individuals in accessing resources and work with Traditional Council to assure safety and wellbeing.
Meet regularly with individuals and families to support self-sufficiency.
