Job summary

Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Alaska is seeking a part-time support specialist to provide direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities and coordinate village-based resources.

You will work with families and the Traditional Council to promote safety, access to resources, and self-sufficiency, with a focus on compassionate community support and respectful, rural healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in special education, child/family health and development, counseling, or community development preferred.
• Valid Alaska Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or willing to complete.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support services to assigned individual with developmental disabilities.
• Coordinate village-based services and assist access to resources.
• Meet regularly with individual and family to address self-sufficiency issues.
