BRC seeks a part-time Security Attendant to protect Clyde Burton House on the Lower East Side. You will monitor the building entrance, complete rounds to ensure premises security, answer phones and document observations in a logbook.
Provide emergency response and basic first aid/CPR as needed, participate in related duties, and help support residents and staff as part of a compassionate, community-focused team.

Part-time 15 hours per week
HS diploma/GED required. Good reading, writing and verbal skills. Basic computer literacy required. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.

Located on the Lower East Side, Clyde Burton House is a permanent SRO housing facility with a capacity for 33 formerly homeless men and women over the age of 55. The program is funded by the NYC Department of Homeless Services, the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In addition to providing permanent housing for its tenants, Clyde Burton House offers a variety of services aimed at helping clients maintain their independence and build a community of support among peers, including case management, medication monitoring, referrals to medical facilities, health education, psychiatric management, entitlement support and money management, recreational activities, assistance with activities of daily living and free meals.
