Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry seeks a part-time dental hygienist for a Monday-Wednesday schedule. You will deliver prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, radiographs, and patient education while supporting a collaborative clinical team. Expect a full schedule, strong patient connections, and a focus on care quality.

You will co-diagnose, present plans, discuss costs and financing, and maintain precise records. Local anesthesia may be required, following state regulations.

Qualifications

• Active state dental hygiene license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Local anesthesia certification [required / preferred].
• New graduates welcome [if applicable].
• Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing patient financing is a plus.
• Experience with Denticon practice management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing.
• Complete full periodontal charting and assess periodontal health at visits.
• Take and review radiographs and intraoral images.
• Educate patients on their oral health and explain the rationale for care.
• Co-diagnose with the dentist and build treatment plans for periodontal and restorative care.
• Present treatment plans chairside and explain needs and costs to patients.
• Discuss fees, insurance estimates, and financing options with patients to facilitate care.
• Administer local anesthesia where certified.
• Apply fluoride, sealants, and adjunctive therapies.
• Ensure next recare visit is scheduled for each patient.
• Document accurately in the patient record.
• Maintain operatory and follow OSHA and infection control standards.
