Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a dental hygienist who prioritizes clinical excellence and patient connection. You will work with a supportive doctor team, maintain a full schedule, and have the tools and time to deliver outstanding care to patients.

You will perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, radiography, and education while co-diagnosing with the dentist and building clear treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Active dental hygiene license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Local anesthesia certification is required or preferred.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing patient financing is a plus.
• Experience with Denticon practice management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing.
• Complete full periodontal charting and assess periodontal health at visits.
• Take and review radiographs and intraoral images.
• Educate patients on oral health and explain rationale for care.
• Co-diagnose with dentist and build treatment plans for periodontal/restorative care.
• Present treatment plans chairside in plain language.
• Discuss fees, insurance estimates, and financing options with patients.
• Administer local anesthesia where certified and permitted by state.
• Apply fluoride, sealants, and adjunctive therapies.
• Ensure next recare visit is scheduled and record is updated.
• Maintain operatory and follow OSHA/infection control standards.
