Job summary
Smile Pennsylvania is seeking a Dental Assistant for our in-school mobile dental program in Harrisburg, PA and surrounding areas. This part-time role requires one Friday per week, with a schedule roughly 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, traveling to multiple schools to provide care to underserved children.
Qualifications include active DA certificate, state X-ray eligibility, CPR/BLS, and prior dental assisting experience.
Qualifications
- Active DA Cert is required.
- Must meet State requirements to operate X rays.
- CPR/BLS certification card required.
- Past dental assistant experience preferred.
- Experience with digital X-ray imaging is required.
- Experience with patient charting is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation.
- Able to travel to schools in nearby counties.
- Comfortable working with children and in a small team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Dental assisting services during mobile clinics.
- Digital X-ray Imaging.
- Patient records charting.
- Equipment setup, breakdown, and sterilization assistance.
- Travel daily to and from school sites.
