Job summary

Smile West Virginia, the mobile in-school dental program, is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant in Petersburg, WV and surrounding areas to support dental care for underserved children at their schools. The role features a workday aligned with the school schedule, usually 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with no nights or weekends, and offers a benefits package including health, dental, and vision.

The ideal candidate has CPR certification, at least one year as a Dental Assistant, X-ray experience, valid

Qualifications

• Must hold active CPR certification
• Must have 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant (DA)
• Must have 1+ years Digital X-ray Imaging experience
• Valid driver license, reliable transportation and a willingness to travel locally is a must
• Works well with others (both children and adults)
• Ability to work well in fast-paced environment; organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task
• Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to walk several flights of stairs on occasion as many schools are without elevators

• Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization Assistance
• Travel Daily to and from school sites
