Smile Programs is looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant/Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in East Scranton, PA, to provide dental care to underserved children at their schools. This full-time position offers evenings, weekends, and summers off with a school-day schedule.

Qualifications

• Must meet state requirements to operate X‑rays.
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation required.
• Willingness to travel to schools in nearby counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide dental assisting services during mobile dental clinics.
• Digital X‑ray imaging.
• Chart patient records.
• Assist in equipment set‑up, breakdown, and sterilization.
• Travel daily to and from school sites.

Skills

Active Dental Assistant Certificate

Ability to operate X‑rays

CPR/BLS certification

Working experience as a Dental Assistant

Digital X‑ray imaging experience

Patient charting

Works well with children

Team player

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
