Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry in Wakefield–Raleigh is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant (2 days per week) to join our Wakefield–Raleigh practice.

You will assist the dentist during procedures, present treatment plans to patients, document health histories, sterilize instruments, manage supplies, chart treatment, and help coordinate patient care. Some travel to other locations may be required; strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of Dental Assistant II training or equivalent.
• CPR certification or commitment to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Achievement of CDA certification, radiological equivalency exam through NC Board of Dental Examiners, or CODA-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assists the dentist in providing dental treatment.
• Functions as a treatment coordinator and presents treatment plans to patients.
• Schedules patient appointments to accommodate potential obstacles.
• Maintains dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Collects and records patient health histories.
• Assists with patient management during dental procedures.
• Completes instrument cleaning, sterilization, and post-op sanitization of treatment rooms.
• Prepares dental materials and equipment for scheduled treatments.
• Completes dental charting.
• Manages inventory supplies and other ancillary duties.
