Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry in Wakefield–Raleigh is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant (2 days per week) to join our Wakefield–Raleigh practice.

You will assist the dentist during procedures, present treatment plans to patients, document health histories, sterilize instruments, manage supplies, chart treatment, and help coordinate patient care. Some travel to other locations may be required; strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of Dental Assistant II training or equivalent.
• CPR certification or commitment to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Achievement of CDA certification, radiological equivalency exam through NC Board of Dental Examiners, or CODA-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assists the dentist in providing dental treatment.

• Prepares dental materials and equipment as needed for scheduled treatments

Qualifications

• Completion of Dental Assistant II training or equivalent
• Preferred 2–5 years of Dental Assistant experience
• Achievement of CDA certification, completion of a radiological equivalency exam through the NC State Board of Dental Examiners, or completion of a CODA‑accredited dental assisting program
• CPR certification or commitment to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire
• Ability to professionally present clinical information regarding treatment plans and insurance information to patients
• Knowledge of Eaglesoft and/or Denticon software is a plus
• Regular and timely attendance
• Demonstrated independent thinking and good judgment in formulating, affecting, interpreting, and/or implementing operating practices
• Teamwork approach to job responsibilities
