Armor Health in Stryker, OH, is hiring a Dental Assistant to support the Corrections Center of NW Ohio (CCNO). Under supervision of a Dentist, you will perform chairside assistance, radiography, and clinical and clerical tasks to keep the dental clinic running smoothly.

The ideal candidate graduated from an accredited DA program, holds a current state license/certification, and has CPR and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program with current state license/certification to practice.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • At least one (1) year experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • Proficient with electronic medical records.
  • Able to pass pre-employment Level 2 background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Dentist in providing dental and radiography procedures.
  • Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures including preventive and prosthetic work.

Overview

Great outcomes start with great people and Armor has an exciting opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our team at Corrections Center of NW Ohio (CCNO) in Stryker, OH.

Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision of a Dentist, provide a range of clinical, administrative, and staff services in assisting the professional dental staff
  • Assist the Dentist in providing dental and radiography procedures
  • Provide chairside assistance to dentists in the performance of dental procedures to include preventive and prosthetic procedures
  • Prepare, sterilize, organize, and set up dental equipment
  • Ensure all dental instruments are cleaned, dated, and processed according to established clinic guidelines and OSHA standards; and maintains the overall cleanliness of the dental area
  • Monitor, and maintain dental equipment such as radiographic developing equipment, and sterilizers in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Develop and process dental radiographs in accordance with provider orders
  • Assist in monitoring and maintenance of radiation safety procedures and protocols
  • Order and maintain inventories of dental clinic supplies
  • Interact with and process dental clinic patients; schedule appointments, maintain dental charts, record dental findings using the POMR charting format
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program with current state license/certification to practice
  • Current CPR certificate
  • At least one (1) year experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Proficient with electronic medical records
  • Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
