Job summary

The GIANT Company is hiring a deli team member in Reading to prepare sandwiches, pizzas, and fresh deli items for the grab-and-go and hot bar. You will weigh, label, and package foods, and help customers with orders while ensuring food safety and quality.

Shift work includes lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and following SOPs, PPE rules, and loss-prevention procedures to support a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must communicate and understand Company policies and safety regulations.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must meet company performance standards for the job including regular attendance.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and prepare for duties at shift start.
• Make sandwiches and deli items, heat and label for display.
• Wait on customers, wrap, weigh, and label orders for grab-and-go.
• Prepare pizza, roasted chicken, and other hot bar items per SOP.
• Clean surfaces, tools, and equipment; follow PPE and safety rules.
• Track and record loss as required by department.
