Job summary

The GIANT Company in Jenkintown, PA is hiring a team member for deli and prepared foods duties. You will prepare sandwiches, pizzas, and other deli items, assist customers, and maintain sanitation and HACCP standards across the department.

Ideal candidates are able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and follow safety procedures. This role requires flexible shifts and a commitment to teamwork and quality service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift and prepare for duties.
• Make sandwiches, subs, roast or fry chicken and appetizers, heat soup, make pizza, label and merchandise per plan.
• Wait on customers, slice meat or cheese, weigh, wrap and label orders, and serve deli food.
• Work in the grab and go lunch meat and cheeses section.
• Prepare product for the sales floor warmers and hot bar per SOP.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, displays, floors, and counters.
• Track and record loss using known loss tracking (KLT).
• Make sandwiches, rolls, grinders, and wraps; label and display in case.
• Cook pizzas and serve to customers; manage pizza oven operations.
• Assist customers and portion deli items for grab and go.
• Move chicken and other ingredients to worktables and ovens; label appropriately.
• Maintain cleaning and sanitation of roasters, fryers, and equipment.
• Follow safety and PPE protocols and report accidents promptly.
