Job summary

UICGS / Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking part-time, on-call Deckhands in Fairhope, Alabama, for operations on utility and high-speed vessels for the US Coast Guard. Qualifications

• One year boating experience as a deckhand preferred.
• Merchant Marine credential as an ordinary seaman highly desired.
• Experience with helicopter/vessel close proximity operations desired.

Responsibilities

• Handles mooring lines and rigging; ensures safety equipment is utilized.
• Develop understanding of shipboard safety procedures and equipment.
• Participate in meetings, training, drills, and safety audits.
