Job summary

Sacramento City Unified School District is seeking a part-time Deaf Interpreter (0.75 FTE) to support communication access for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students in our schools. The interpreter will work Monday–Friday, six hours per day, under supervision of the district's interpreters program.

The ideal candidate has an appropriate interpreter credential, knowledge of Deaf culture, and the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and students to ensure accurate and timely communication

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and completion of required education/certifications for interpreter roles.
• Two years of college or an associate’s degree or district test compliance may satisfy qualifications.
• Interpreting credentials and professional certifications are preferred.
