Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 48 college units or an associate degree.
• CBEST, ParaPro or CODESP test acceptable for qualification.
• Fingerprinting and TB clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret/transliterate between deaf students and hearing staff and students.
• Provide voice-to-sign and sign-to-voice interpretation in classroom settings.
• Assist in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with teachers and students.
• Prepare for interpretation by reviewing texts and coordinating with school personnel.
