Ampersand Therapy is hiring a part-time Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for a Douglasville, GA school setting. You will empower students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through specialized instruction and collaboration to drive academic progress and communication growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Valid state teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
• Knowledge of hearing impairments and language development.
• ASL proficiency preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Conduct assessments and use data to guide instructional decisions.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies.
