Job summary

Timken Distribution Center in Duncan, SC is seeking a part-time warehouse associate to support packaging operations. Work hours must not exceed 28 per week. Starting pay $16.50 per hour. Safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service are valued.

Responsibilities include scanning and sorting per customer specs, verifying parts, using computer or handheld scanner, packing materials, following written instructions, and moving product with powered equipment. 18+ and HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work instructions.
• Proficiency in reading production forms and communicating with coworkers.

• Pick or move product using powered industrial equipment.
• Supply Packaging Operations with appropriate supplies such as boxes, dunnage, or other items.

**Position Summary: **

Timken Distribution Center is currently seeking apart-time candidateto support the Distribution Operations at its facility located in Duncan, SC. Work hours must not exceed 28 hours per week. A successful warehouse employee values safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service. Starting Pay: $16.50hourly.

• Support Packaging Operations by scanning and sorting product per customer specifications.
• Verify correct components such as parts, part numbers, quantities, and other specifications.
• Use of technology such asa computer or hand-held scanner to locate and follow customer specific instructions.
• Pack materials into appropriate shipping containers, including required dunnage and labels/label placement.
• Must be able to understand and follow written Pack instructions and diagrams.
• Pick or move product using powered industrial equipment.
• Supply Packaging Operations with appropriate supplies such as boxes, dunnage, or other necessary items.

18 years of age.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to complete production forms. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and plant leadership.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch and use hands/arms. The employee is regularly required to talk, hear at conversational level. The employee must regularly lift/move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 55 pounds. Moving/lifting greater than 55 pounds requires assistance from another employee or a lifting device/hoist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Required Personal Protective Equipment:

Employee is required to wear steel-toed shoes at all times while on the plant floor.
