Job summary

JMH is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a part-time day shift in Monticello, GA. The RN will provide direct patient care, assess needs, implement plans, document care, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires state licensure, BLS/ACLS (PALS preferred), and strong communication and teamwork. Weekend rotations and overtime may apply; the nurse will uphold confidentiality and participate in infection control and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current valid Georgia RN license with no restrictions.
• At least one year clinical experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required within one year of employment.
• PALS certification is preferred and strongly encouraged.
• Freedom from illegal use of drugs and freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
• Verbal and Written Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently.
• Interpersonal Skills: Relates cooperatively and constructively with all patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting individual patient care needs.
• Reports and records patient conditions, including signs of significant change.
• Administers medications as ordered by the physician.
• Documents all verbal physician orders received and verifies them.
• Delegates or assigns aspects of patient care to healthcare team members.
• Promotes infection control practices routinely.
• Participates in shift change reports and quality improvement activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
