Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain common areas in office buildings, apartments, or other commercial spaces. Duties include cleaning lobby doors, vacuuming elevator cabs, inspecting exteriors, and keeping restrooms tidy.

Ideal candidates demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and safety awareness. This role supports building engineers and involves a range of nightly and daily tasks across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Attendance/Punctuality: Consistently at work and on time.
• Dependability: Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions.
• Safety and Security: Observes safety and security procedures; reports unsafe conditions.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors.
• Polish chrome on lobby doors.
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day.
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash.
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor.
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles.
• Check restrooms twice daily.
• Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed.
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed.
• Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed.
• Sweep building entrances.
• Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering.
• Report any lights out to the Management Office.
• Report any solicitors to the Management Office.
• Policing lobby during high-traffic times and emptying trash receptacles.
• Vacuum carpeted floors.
• Dust mop lobby floors twice daily.
• Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons.
• Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion.
