Job summary

Devereux/TCV Community Services in Western PA is hiring a Part-Time Diversion & Acute Stabilization (DAS) Psychiatric Counselor for weekend shifts in Homestead, PA. You will join a multidisciplinary treatment team supporting adults with behavioral health challenges and helping individuals pursue recovery goals and safety.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in social/human services or related field, prior experience with adults in behavioral health preferred, and willingness to obtain PA

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social/human services or related field is required.
Prior experience working with adults with behavioral health disorders is highly preferred.
Must be 18 years or older and able to obtain PA clearances and pass screenings.
Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

Encourage individuals to meet recovery goals and participate in treatment activities.
Monitor physical and emotional well-being; employ de-escalation and emergency techniques as needed.
Develop and teach strategies to promote wellness and independence.
Collaborate with the treatment team including psychiatrists, therapists, nurses and service coordinators.
