Job summary

Peraton and MIITS Fort Huachuca are seeking a part-time IT Cybersecurity Intern to support cybersecurity operations and IT systems for the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence.

This internship provides hands-on experience in an enterprise IT and cybersecurity environment while collaborating with seasoned professionals. Duties include monitoring security posture, vulnerability management, reviewing configurations, RMF/STIG compliance, and maintaining security documentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in cybersecurity or IT.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and security principles.
• Familiar with Windows enterprise IT environments.
• Ability to document technical information clearly.
• U.S. Citizenship eligibility for TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist cybersecurity personnel with monitoring the security posture of IT systems.
• Support vulnerability identification, tracking, and remediation.
• Help review system security configurations for potential concerns.
• Assist with RMF, STIG compliance, and security documentation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity analysts, systems admins, and network staff to meet requirements.
• Follow DoD and Army policies and procedures.
