Summary

This position is the first point of contact for most customer interactions within the branch. Responsible for working as a team member to process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments. Responsible for cash handling, balancing standards, and maintaining teller line integrity.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED. One year of education/training beyond high school preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications: None.
  • Experience: At least one year of related experience, general PC knowledge, prior cash handling, and sales experience preferred.
Essential Functions
  • Greet customers, identify needs, complete requests, and answer questions.
  • Research issues and correct discrepancies.
  • Accept and process various deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
  • Reconcile transactions, oversee vault and ATM when assigned.
  • Follow cash handling procedures, ensure security, complete logs, and assist audits.
  • Maintain cash levels, balance drawer, research over/short issues.
  • Sell gift cards and bank services, identify cross-sell opportunities.
  • Utilize back-office capture, reconcile balancing issues.
  • Maintain scheduling flexibility for hours and locations.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and exercise good judgment to safeguard assets.
  • Comply with policies, represent professionally, attend meetings, maintain confidentiality.
  • Adapt to major changes, ensure compliance with legal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act and AML laws.
