Summary
This position is the first point of contact for most customer interactions within the branch. Responsible for working as part of a cohesive team to process transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and payments. Responsible for cash handling, balancing standards, and maintaining the integrity of the teller line.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED; one year of education/training beyond high school preferred or equivalent experience.
Licenses/Certifications: None.
Experience: One year of related experience; PC knowledge; prior cash handling; sales experience preferred.
Essential Functions:

  • Greet customers and identify their needs.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan, credit card, and utility payments.
  • Redeem bonds, reconcile deposits, oversee vault and ATM operations.
  • Follow cash handling procedures, ensure security, and maintain records.
  • Sell bank services, cross-sell, and refer to Personal Bankers.
  • Utilize back office systems and reconcile transactions.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling and locations.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and exercise good judgment.
  • Comply with policies, maintain confidentiality, and represent the organization professionally.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and training.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including BSA and AML laws.
