Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Hawthorne, NJ to assist customers, handle transactions, and keep the store secure and well-stocked. You will unload merchandise, replenish stock, and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.

The role requires customer service experience and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, with strong organizational and communication skills. This is a part-time, on-site position at 111 Wagaraw Rd, Hawthorne, NJ 07506.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and rest areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
