Job summary

Dollar Tree in Hamilton, New Jersey is hiring a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, and manage transactions at the assigned cash register while upholding store standards.

This part-time position requires a high school diploma (preferred) and prior retail or service experience. You must be able to lift 30–50 lbs, stay active on the floor, keep areas clean, and support merchandise replenishment and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions on the assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and replenishment
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal
• Other duties as assigned*
