Job summary

Family Dollar in Brookhaven, Mississippi is seeking a Customer Service Associate to assist customers, handle sales at the register, and help keep the store stocked and welcoming.

You will deliver a positive shopping experience, answer questions, and follow store procedures while working to protect assets and maintain safety.

This part-time position requires a friendly, reliable team member with good communication and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs; prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environments is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading and stocking.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and coworkers.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
