Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Windsor, VA store and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. The role includes assisting customers, processing transactions, and keeping the store organized and welcoming.

You’ll work part-time, help unload merchandise, maintain shelves, and follow safety and customer service standards. Previous retail or service experience is preferred, with a focus on teamwork, reliability, and a friendly, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
