Job summary

Family Dollar in Somerville, TX is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, and help with stocking and merchandising across the store.

The role requires strong customer service and communication skills, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and to maintain a clean, safe store environment. Prior retail or service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills and be able to assist customers and manage transactions.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment
• Perform cleaning and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal
• Other duties as assigned
