Family Dollar in Somerville, TN is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, stock shelves, unload trucks, and maintain store cleanliness.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior retail or service experience preferred, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. You must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and be willing to perform various store upkeep tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent movement
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and waste
• Other duties as assigned*
