Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Milton-Freewater, Oregon is seeking a Customer Service Associate to welcome shoppers and deliver a positive, efficient shopping experience.

You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage sales transactions at the register, stock shelves, unload shipments, and keep the store clean and presentable.

This part-time role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and courteous interactions with customers and colleagues to support daily store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
