Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Summit, IL location to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help maintain store cleanliness and stock levels.

The role requires strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Part-time position with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock facilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
