Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience in our Orange City, IA store. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, stock shelves, unload trucks, and maintain clean, orderly store conditions.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (preferred) and prior retail or service experience. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and endure standing, walking, bending, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
