Job summary

Family Dollar in Monroeville, AL is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, stock shelves, and maintain a clean store environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering questions, handling merchandise, unloading trucks, and supporting store leadership to keep operations running smoothly while ensuring safety and friendliness on the sales floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of standing and walking.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
