Town of Wellesley is seeking a part-time Saturday custodian for the Recreation Department. Responsibilities include routine cleaning, minor maintenance, landscaping, on-call services, building security, event setup/breakdown, and emergency snow/ice response.

Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; ability to lift 50 lbs; manual dexterity; initiative to identify tasks. CORI form required. Hours: Saturday 7:00am–7:00pm. Pay: $24.25–$32.67 per hour. Position not benefit eligible.

Part Time Custodian (Recreation Department)

The Town of Wellesley's Facilities Maintenance Department (FMD) is one of the foremost public facilities organizations in Massachusetts. We maintain and operate twenty-eight (28) Town buildings totaling over 1.2 million square feet with a staff of 73 and an operating budget of over $8 million, plus a $1.75M major capital projects budget. This department currently has a job opportunity for a part-time, on-call custodial position. The FMD is currently looking for a part-time Saturday custodian for the Wellesley Recreation Department. This position will also serve as a backup custodian for other Town custodial positions as needed. Reporting to the Head Custodian, and under the general supervision of the Custodial Service Manager and Facilities Director, the Custodian performs all aspects of custodial services and operations for the department. The work of the Custodian includes but is not limited to: routine/detail/project cleaning of all aspects of the buildings, minor maintenance work, landscaping/grounds work, on-call services, building security, event set up and break down and emergency snow/ice response. The incumbent must be available for weekends, emergency and stand-by duties as required. The incumbent performs assigned tasks without close supervision, following established procedures, or with direct instructions on new and different assignments.

Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision; ability to lift 50lbs.; manual dexterity; and demonstrated initiative in recognizing needed tasks within sphere of responsibility. Applicants will be required to complete a CORI form. The pay range for this position is$24.25- $32.67/hour,DOQ.

The hours are Saturday: 7:00am - 7:00pm.

The position is not benefit eligible.
