Job summary

The City of Sioux Falls, Facilities Management Division, is seeking a part-time Custodian to perform routine cleaning and maintenance in municipal buildings. This non-benefitted position offers up to 28 hours per week, typically 9:30 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday at the Law Enforcement Center (320 W 4th St). The ideal candidate is at least 18 years old, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a current Driver License and reliable transportation.
• One year of custodial or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Pass background check required. EOE.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in municipal buildings.
• Support cleaning/maintenance at the Law Enforcement Center as assigned.

Duties include performing routine cleaning/maintenance tasks in municipal buildings. Ideal hours for one daytime position will be to work up to 28 hours per week between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Law Enforcement Center (320 W 4th St).

Minimum Qualifications

Desired applicants should be at least 18. Applicants should demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Applicants must have a current Driver License and reliable transportation. One year of custodial or Facilities Maintenance related work experience is preferred. Applicants must be able to pass the City's background check. EOE.
