Job summary

Baird ISD in Texas is seeking a dedicated individual to maintain cleanliness and sanitation on the assigned campus. Responsibilities include reporting damages, closing the building daily, and developing a cleaning schedule.

Job description

Duties

• Be responsible for keeping the assigned campus neat, clean, and sanitary.
• Report promptly to the principal any acts of vandalism, accidental destruction, or defects that may prove injurious to students and staff.
• Assume responsibility for closing the building each school day.
• Be responsible for custodial duties when assigned to the building for extracurricular activities.
• Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule that will include the cleaning of floors, bathrooms, windows, furniture, and equipment.
• Disposal of trash.
• Move furniture or equipment within the building as directed by the supervisor.
• Attend weekly meetings.
• Work cooperatively with other school employees, students, and patrons. Be courteous, punctual, neat, honest, loyal and dependable.
• Maintain a neat and orderly storage room and be sure equipment and supplies are put up when not in use.
• Strive to improve the appearance of buildings daily inside and outside.
• Perform duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
