Skyline Building Services is seeking a responsible custodian for an upscale facility in Newark, Delaware. The role emphasizes thorough cleaning, attention to detail, and professional presentation. You will support conference room setups and guest hospitality while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

The position is part-time with evening hours (Monday to Friday, 5-9pm) and pays from $18.00 per hour. Attendance, reliability and strong communication are valued in this in-person role.

Qualifications

• Excellent attendance with minimal absences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare spaces for the next day by emptying trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets.
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables.
• Wipe mirrors and windows.
• Set up conference rooms for large corporate meetings.
• Set up coffee stations, handle spills and assist guests during meetings.

We are looking for a responsible custodian to maintain a very upscale facility.The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants.It is important for a custodian to be thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises to a very high effort of detail.The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep.A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and a keen eye to detail.A good team oriented person that can handle constructive criticism at times is a must.Must present themselves in a professional manner both appearance and personality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g.soap)
• Wipe mirrors and windows
• Setting up Conference rooms for large corporate meetings
• Setup coffee stations, clean up spills and field requests from guests attending meetings

Very good attendance record with little callouts

• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances

• High school diploma is preferred but not required

Hours are 5-9pm Monday - Friday
