Job summary

Colonial Group in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a dependable Custodian to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and the overall appearance of company buildings. You will perform routine custodial duties to keep offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas in a professional condition.

The role requires the ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, and adherence to safety procedures. Prior custodial experience is preferred, but training is provided.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in custodial, janitorial, or facility cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge of custodial cleaning methods and equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily custodial cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, entryways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and vacuum floors throughout facilities.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Empty trash receptacles and recycling containers throughout the property.
• Restock paper products, soap, and sanitation supplies.
• Dust furniture, vents, ledges, equipment, and other surfaces.
• Clean interior and exterior windows, doors, and glass surfaces.
• Monitor facility cleanliness and report maintenance, repair, or safety concerns
• Follow all OSHA, company safety, and sanitation procedures.
