Job summary

Prairie Ridge Health is hiring a Ware Washer/Cold Cook to join our Culinary Services Department. This 0.1 FTE (4 hours per week) position involves preparing patient and cafeteria meals, pre-dishing, tray assembly, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, assisting Chefs, taking orders, stocking nursing units, and serving visitors. The role requires flexibility across shifts with weekend/holiday rotation and adherence to food safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum Age Requirement: 15 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent desirable.
• Preferred knowledge of therapeutic diets.
• Annual required education on food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for patients and cafeteria menus.
• Pre-dish patient food items and assemble patient trays.
• Sanitation and upkeep of the culinary department and food safety standards.
• Wash dishes for cafeteria, patient trays, and kitchen areas.
• Assist Chefs with tray assembly and patient orders; take phone orders.
• Stock snacks on nursing units with proper stock rotation; serve visitors.
• Deliver patient trays and maintain a clean, safe environment.
