The Yuba Community College District is seeking a qualified candidate for a part‑time, temporary (Adjunct) Culinary Arts Instructor. The pool of part‑time faculty is refreshed every two years and remains open continuously.

Job Description

• Organize and teach all levels of culinary classes.
• Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning.
• Teach during day, evening, and/or weekend schedules, including distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses.
• Assess Student Learning Outcomes each semester.
• Participate in department, division, and college‑wide initiatives and committees as desired.

Required Duties

• Demonstrate sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree and six years of full‑time occupational experience in a related field, OR
• Bachelor’s degree and two years of full‑time occupational experience in a related field.
• Possess a California Community Life credential in the subject area.
• Hold ServSafe® Food Handler, Manager, and Responsible Alcohol Certification.
• Meet all equivalency requirements as determined by the YCC District before the application filing date.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant teaching experience beyond the minimum qualifications.
• Previous experience in a community college setting.

Physical Demands

• Class I - VII (based on degree and teaching experience). The instructor may need to lift, stand, and move within a kitchen environment.
