The Yuba Community College District is seeking a qualified candidate for a part‑time, temporary (Adjunct) Culinary Arts Instructor. The pool of part‑time faculty is refreshed every two years and remains open continuously.

Position Information
- Job Title: Part‑Time – Culinary Arts Instructor
- Location: Lake County Campus – Clear Lake, CA
Job Description
- Develop and deliver instructional lectures for culinary arts courses (up to 10 hours/week).
- Organize and teach all levels of culinary classes.
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning.
- Teach during day, evening, and/or weekend schedules, including distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses.
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes each semester.
- Participate in department, division, and college‑wide initiatives and committees as desired.
Required Duties
- Demonstrate sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree and six years of full‑time occupational experience in a related field, OR
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of full‑time occupational experience in a related field.
- Possess a California Community Life credential in the subject area.
- Hold ServSafe® Food Handler, Manager, and Responsible Alcohol Certification.
- Meet all equivalency requirements as determined by the YCC District before the application filing date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant teaching experience beyond the minimum qualifications.
- Previous experience in a community college setting.
Physical Demands
- Class I - VII (based on degree and teaching experience). The instructor may need to lift, stand, and move within a kitchen environment.
Benefits
